Depending on the artist, custom art can often be completely tailored to your specific color preferences, dimensions, vision and budget. That makes a custom art commission an excellent way to purchase a personal artwork that's suits both you and your space, and reflects your personality.
All artworks listed in my portfolio are made-to-order and crafted by hand, by me and my team. Each piece is made with care and artistry, right here in my studio in The Netherlands.
Because every artwork is created individually, there is plenty of room to make it truly your own. You can choose an existing design from my portfolio as a starting point and customize the size, colors and proportions, or we can develop a completely new piece around your space and ideas. Whether you already know exactly what you are looking for or simply have a wall that needs something special, I would be happy to help you explore the possibilities.
The result is a one-of-a-kind artwork created especially for you and your interior, rather than a piece chosen simply because it happens to fit.

Choosing the right artwork can be quite difficult, so if you're unsure which wall hanging to pick, just let me help you out. At the end of this blog, near the bottom of the page, you can fill out a short, 5 questions- quiz, to find the perfect piece for your space. Isn't that convenient?
If however you're looking for an original and something more personal, then you're more than welcome to request a custom piece . If you're after a wall hanging customized in terms of sizing, colors, or design, or if you want to commission an original fiber art piece crafted specifically for your project or interior, then you're at the right place! Here's how;
Commission Process
Here's the process on how you can commission a custom art piece created by me, Rianne Aarts:
Step 1: Fill in the Commission Survey
The first step is to fill in the commission survey here . This survey consists of a few questions which will help me understand your preferences and requirements better, to create a design proposal.
Step 2: Receive a Quote & Lead Time
After reviewing your survey, you'll receive a detailed quote along with the estimated lead time. Transparency is key, so you'll have all the info upfront, leaving no room for surprises later on.
Step 3: Design & Creation
Once you approve of the design and after purchasing your order, I'll set to work on bringing your custom piece to life.
Step 4: Final Approval & Shipment
Once your artwork is complete, you'll receive photos for your final approval. You'll have the opportunity to provide feedback before your piece is shipped.
